mantispy.pl.feature_volcano(adata, group, key='effect', label_top=8, ax=None)

Effect against significance, per feature, for one group.

The dashed line is q = 0.05, and the counts beside it say how many features sit on either side.

Parameters:

• adata (AnnData) – Object holding the table effect_size() wrote.

• group (str) – Which group of that table to draw.

• key (str (default: 'effect')) – Name of that table in uns["mantispy"].

• label_top (int (default: 8)) – How many features to label, taken by absolute effect.

• ax (Axes | None (default: None)) – Axes to draw on, or None for a new figure.

Return type:

Axes | None

Returns:

The axes when the caller passed ax, else None because the plot then owns the figure it created.

Raises:

KeyError – There is no such table, or it holds no such group.
